Meet our Team

Allison Wallace
Board President, Missionary
Founder of The Pucusana Project, Alli has a B.S. in Biblical Studies and Theology from Regent University and over 15 years of ministry experience in South America. She is the main organizer, administrator, fundraiser and social media content provider for the nonprofit. She is a wife, mother, and also runs the mentorship and internship program for the nonprofit. Alli is a creative, extremely organized and talented businesswoman and Bible teacher.

Topher Wallace
Operations Manager, Missionary
Topher first spent several years in his early 20s doing ministry in Peru, where he became fluent in Spanish and developed a deep connection to the culture. Back in the U.S., he worked as a field technician on complex geothermal systems before moving into eight years of video production for churches and nonprofits. Known for finding solutions to complicated problems, he now leads strategy, program development, and the long-term vision to build a new school in Pucusana.

Alejandro Kim
Board Director
With a M.Div. in Pastoral Ministry from Westminster Theological Seminary in PA, and a B.S. in Bible & Youth Ministry from Nyack College in New York, Alejandro is passionate about Christian ministry. He has served as a youth pastor and Missions pastor for 20 years. Alejandro has spent the last five years as a Spanish teacher and has gone to Pucusana three times. Alejandro has 30 years experience visiting Peru through the Christian & Missionary Alliance.

Scott Soden
Board Director
Scott works for the Brethren Church as their Global Partners Director and has been a part of the Pucusana ministry before it was even legally created. Scott has helped us tremendously with the process of gaining possessional rights of a Brethren Church property in Pucusana, where we hope to open our future school. He also helps facilitate our internship program and has over ten years of international nonprofit experience.

Brian Payne
Board Director
Brian Payne co-founded Furnished Finder in 2014. After tremendous business success, Brian now sits on the Advisory Board for Furnished Finder and has become an entrepreneur, focusing his time on his Foundation, called Isaiah 58:12. Brian is a Christian philanthropist with a passion to aid nonprofits like The Pucusana Project. Stepping onto the Board in 2024, Brian's dedication has helped the nonprofit in huge ways.

Ryan Chapel
Board Director
Ryan has spent most of his career working in Christian ministry as a creative director. Giving every project his best, he is talented in everything he does, from one-of-a-kind construction projects, house-flipping, and video production. Ryan is a proven leader and family man, with a beautiful wife and three daughters. Joining the Board in 2024, Ryan applies his business skills to bettering the nonprofits work.

Eric Wallace
Board Director
Eric attended the U.S. Air Force Academy and then spent 14 years flying the F-22 with multiple deployments. Eric is now a part of the CO Air National Guard and works at Hermeus. He is gifted in business strategy and leadership, raising millions of dollars for his work. Having been to Pucusana multiple times since 2008, Eric is eager to use his skills to further charitable work. As a Board Member, he is now more involved with fundraising and helping us achieve our long-term goals.

Rich Howard
Board Director
Rich, and his wife Shelly, are the co-founders of the Christian nonprofit OneFamily. With decades of experience leading parenting classes at churches, MOPS, and online, Rich brings a unique perspective to nonprofit management, fundraising, and outreach. He has also led the charge to translate all of the OneFamily parenting curriculum into Spanish for Latin American use.

Shelly Howard
Board Advisor, non-voting member
Shelly has worked with her husband in Christian ministry for over a decade leading marriage and parenting classes at Churches and MOPS groups. Outside of nonprofit work, Shelly volunteers at her local church and leads many young mothers by offering a mentorship program. With a deep love for the Lord, Shelly serves as an spiritual and business advisor to the Board.

Sue Arno
Board Treasurer
Sue has worked in finance most of her career. With decades of experience in bookkeeping and administration, she recently retired and has taken on nonprofit work. Native to New Zealand, a wife, mother and grandma, Sue has a strong faith in Jesus and a desire to help others by volunteering at her church.

Paul Howald
Board Secretary
Paul has worked as a Commercial Real Estate Developer & Broker his entire career. He is an expert in corporate operations, a business owner and volunteers his time for countless Christian efforts through his local church. Paul is an asset to The Pucusana Project as our secretary and advisor.

Elena Prado Effio
Ministry Partner
With over 40 years of education experience in Peru, Elena is a co-founder of the Pucusana Project and leads our partner ministry in Pucusana. With her help and her association, we are able to work legally in Peru, employing a staff and operating our programs. Elena laid the foundation on which all of our ministry is built upon and she still plays a monumental role in our current and future programs.
